About Us

  1. Where is the club located?

    In the VFW Hall just south of downtown Bellingham at 625 N State St - free on-street and lot parking.

  2. When are you open?

    Usually the first Saturday of each month, 2-5 pm, September thru June. Check BTS Events page for current schedule.

  3. How do I become a member of your club?

    Go to the Membership page and download an application form.

  4. Can I attend as a guest?

    Yes, admission for non-members is $12. If you become a member you will receive a $2 discount and the monthly newsletter, Jazz Me News. will be emailed to you.

  5. Is there an age restriction?

    No, we welcome everybody, whatever your age. Bring your friends and your dancing shoes with you as we have a great wooden dance floor. Or just sit and listen if that's your style.

  6. How do I make a donation to support live jazz?

    Mail a check to Betty Brue, our treasurer, or hand it to any director at one of our events.

  1. Do you have a dance floor?

    Yes, we have a large wooden dance floor, fine acoustics and sight-lines.

  2. Can we reserve a specific table?

    No, we don't reserve tables.

  3. Is there a cover charge?

    Yes, club members pay $10, non-members $12, and students with card $6. Non-members are very welcome.

  4. What is the seating capacity?

    Table seating for 130 in the main room and 60 in the bar.

  5. Are children allowed in the club?

    Yes, children are welcome in the main room but are not allowed in the bar.

  6. Is the club wheelchair accessible?

    Yes, the VFW is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp on the west side of the front of the building.

  7. Is smoking allowed?

    No, the VFW does not allow smoking.

  1. Is your newsletter available to anyone?

    Yes, the currrent issue of Jazz Me News is posted on the website. Members will also receive it either as an email attachment or via postal mail. If you are not already a member, please consider joining us. Archived issues for the past year are also on the website.

    Yes. We showcase local bands as well as those from Tacoma, Seattle, and Vancouver, BC.
